Owned by the Bernaleau Vineyards, Chateau de Braude embodies the excellence of the terroirs of the South Médoc.
Created in 1983 by Régis Bernaleau, this 8 hectares vineyard surrounds a magnificent 19th century building in Macau.
Located between two Grands Crus Classés, a stone’s throw from the Route des Chateaux, this family home hase been hosting a gîte since 2005.
The technical buildings of Chateau de Braude are located in the town of Arsac where all the wines from the Bernaleau vineyards are crafted.
In 2003, the property was classified Cru Bourgeois, and thus entered its new Family.
A family project where two generations serve a common ambition, that of creating a quality wine where all the elegance of the terroirs of the Haut Médoc is revealed.
Château de Braude produces a silky and friendly wine of incomparable finesse.
Chateau de Braude’s vineyard located in 3 villages consists of 8 hectares of vines.
If most of our vines are set in Macau, some of them are set in Moulis and Arsac. In the village of Macau, deep gravels from the Quaternary Period provide drainage and exceptional heat restitution for the maturity of the grapes.
In the town of Arsac, gravels close to the terroirs of Margaux bring incredible elegance to the Cabernet Sauvignon.
In Moulis, clay-limestone soils help to reveal the delicacy of the merlot.
This blend of terroirs brings out a great diversity of expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, making the wines of Chateau de Braude absolutely unique.
Environmental Commitment: Certified as High Environmental Value since 2017.
A reasoned culture, the withdrawal of all CMR products, mechanical weeding for more than 15 years, as well as a better mangement of the use of water and of the effluent treatment, show our commitement to preserve our vineyard for generations to come.
